We began 2016 just as we ended 2015 with lots of accolades. For instance prelaw Magazine just recognized Cincinnati Law as 3rd in the nation for public defender/prosecutor jobs (Winter 2016). This is in addition to The National Jurist recognizing the College as a top 20 law school for public service careers and on top of a string of other national recognitions as a Best Value, Best Experiential Learning (hands on), top school for big firm practice, and top school for “Super Lawyers.” These recognitions reflect the strength of our curricular offerings, employment placement and the value of our degree. Spring semester at the University of Cincinnati College of Law kicked off with 40 new faces – University of Cincinnati undergraduate students making history as the first undergrads to ever take classes here.
Two Urban Morgan Institute Fellows have just been awarded fellowships with the Ohio Legal Assistance Foundation. Suzy Firestone ’14 and Patrick Higgins ’16 will be working with the Ohio Legal Assistance Foundation (OLAF) Fellowship program.
The accolades continue into 2016 as the University of Cincinnati College of Law was just recognized as a “Best Value School for Public Service Careers” by National Jurist magazine. The college is among the top 20 law schools in the country in the prosecutors/public defenders category.
The bicentennial celebration is three years away and UC is looking for help in telling its story. Alumni, students, faculty and staff are invited to submit essays that represent their own unique perspectives. Cash awards of up to $1,000 will be made for the best entries.
