Many scholarship opportunities exist outside of the College of Law which are made available from external groups, organizations and individuals. The following is a list of opportunities not affiliated with the University of Cincinnati College of Law:
ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship Fund -The American Bar Association Legal Opportunity Scholarship Fund is intended to encourage racial and ethnic minority students to apply to law school and to provide financial assistance to these students. Additional information and copy of the application can be obtained from the ABA website, www.abanet.org/fje.
The Akron, Ohio Bar Association -The Akron, Ohio Bar Association will award a scholarship to a resident of Summit country. For more information visit the Foundation link on their website.
The Ohio Women's Bar Association -The Ohio Women's Bar Association will grant a $1,000 scholarship next year. Applications are available in the Admissions Office.
The Mahoning County Bar Association Foundation -The Mahoning County Bar Association Foundation, Youngstown, Ohio, has scholarships to be awarded to students entering law school or presently in law school. The Minority Corporate Counsel Association -The Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) offers the LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell Client Review Fellowship. The MCCA will not accept applications sent via email or fax. (View application and rules.)
Polonia Foundation of Ohio – Applicants must be of Polish decent and be residents of Ohio. Applications are available in the Admissions office. Deadline is June 15 annually.
The United Negro College Fund -The United Negro College Fund and the Minority Corporate Counsel Association are supporting several significant scholarships for entering first year law students who have been accepted into an accredited law school.
