Ohio Innocence Project Helps Ohio's Longest-Serving Wrongfully Convicted Inmate to Freedom After 29 Years in Prison

Raymond Towler, the 10th individual freed with the help of the UC College of Law's Ohio Innocence Project, has served the most time of any exonerated individual in Ohio history. On May 5, 2010, Towler gained his release as a free man following a hearing at the Cuyahoga County Courthouse. (Read more)

Jim Sproat '11 Wants to Affect Change—One Bill At A Time

Why does Jim Sproat want to become a lawyer? It isn’t to become a career attorney, although he plans to work as a lawyer for a few years. His ultimate goal, he said, is to affect change—from the inside out. "I want to develop a better understanding of law in relation to politics," said Sproat '11.
