 Cincinnati Law Receives Record Number of Applications
Cincinnati Law has received more applications for Fall 2010 admission than any other in its 177 year history. The unprecedented number of 1,802 applications as of March 16 translates into a 39% increase in applications over the previous year. Despite the increase in applications, the College remains committed to a small entering class size of roughly 135 students and an enviable 10 to 1 student to faculty ratio (which remains among the 15 best in the nation). |
3L Peter Link's Appeal Accepted by the Supreme Court of Ohio
 Peter Link '10, a participant in the law school's Indigent Defense Clinic in partnership with the Ohio Justice and Policy Center, has accomplished a task that few lawyers, let alone law students, ever achieve. His appeal in State v. Kenneth Hodge was accepted by the Supreme Court of Ohio, giving him the opportunity to argue an important constitutional issue before the Court. (Read more)

2010 Judge in Residence: The Honorable Rosemary Barkett
 Judge Rosemary Barkett sits on the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Prior to her appointment to the Eleventh Circuit in 1994, she was the first woman Justice on the Florida Supreme Court, sitting as an Associate Justice from 1985 until 1992, when she was chosen by her colleagues to become the state's first woman Chief Justice. Innocence Reform Bill Crafted at UC College of Law On Verge of Becoming Ohio Law
What one legislator termed "one of the most important pieces of criminal justice legislation in this state in a century" was passed by the Ohio House on Tuesday with broad bipartisan support, putting the bill that began as a winter-break research effort by UC law students on the cusp of becoming state law.
