Room Scheduling Request
Please read the following guidelines and policies before submitting the request form
- While reservation requests may be made at any time, reservations requests are responded to Monday through Friday from 8:00am – 4:00pm. Please make reservations in advance to account for delays between request and response. If making a reservation request on weekends or outside of the 8:00am-4:00pm window, your request will not be processed until the next business day.
- Cancel your reservation if you find you no longer need it.
- We reserve the right to cancel or deny a reservation. The person making the reservation will be notified as soon as possible if this occurs.
- When leaving a room, leave it neat and clean. Place trash in the appropriate receptacles. Turn off the light and close the door.
- Law classes and make-up classes take priority over all other scheduling.
- We reserve the right to cancel or change a standing reservation if it is necessary to move or reschedule a class. However, all efforts will be made to accommodate your reservation.
- As a matter of courtesy, do not enter the room if a professor is teaching – wait until the class is dismissed. It may be helpful to email the professor ahead of time to make them aware that an event is scheduled directly after their class.
- Do not rearrange or move chairs, tables, equipment, podiums, etc., unless you take the time to put everything back as it was before you leave.
- Do not assume that because you or your group used a room previously, that you have an automatic reservation. You must make a request each semester for any rooms you want to reserve.
- If your event requires CLE, please note that those applications are due 60 days prior to the event. You may contact Cheryl DelVecchio for more information.
- Law School students, faculty, and staff have priority use of Library spaces. Library spaces available for reservation are to be used for teaching, Library, law student, or Law School needs.
- Only one room reservation (per group or individual) is permitted each day. Each reservation may be for a maximum of three hours. Reservations are generally on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Persons may stay in a study room for longer than three-hours provided no one has reserved the room. Those with reservations have first priority for the rooms. Those without reservations must leave when a student or group having a reservation claims the room.
- Reshelve any library materials used in the study rooms.
- Anyone leaving any items in a study room beyond the reserved time will have these items put aside in the room, turned into the lost-and-found, or reshelved. The group or student having reserved the room will then be let into the room. The Law Library takes no responsibility for any items left in a study room.
- All drinks in the library, including study rooms, must be in containers with lids.
- No food is allowed in the computer labs or in the Rare Book Room.
- Abuse of study room privileges may result in the loss of the use of the study rooms.
Atrium/ Crow’s Nest
- Event coordinators are responsible for all set-up and takedown arrangements and for proper disposal of trash.
- Return furniture to its original location.
Room 203/Faculty Library
- Conference Room 203 is the primary meeting space for staff and faculty and needs to be available for those purposes. It is not intended for student group study use.
- The Faculty Library is not available for student use.
