The financial assistance available to entering and returning students consists of College of Law scholarships, federal student loan programs, and private student loan programs. The College of Law scholarship program is supported by endowments and gifts from alumni and friends of the college as well as general university funds. Entering students are urged to apply early as awards are made on a rolling basis each spring.
All law scholarships are awarded by the College of Law Admissions and Financial Aid Office. Applications for first-year scholarships have a priority deadline of March 1 (although the deadline is not technically binding and scholarships will be offered throughout the spring and summer until our funds are expired). To apply for scholarship consideration please complete the Scholarship Application form in its entirety.
The College of Law awards scholarships to entering students in order to attract an academically talented and diverse entering class. Scholarship offers are typically made within 2-4 weeks of acceptance, usually begining in mid-January. All scholarships awarded have a renewal standard of a 2.0 grade point average (good academic standing).
New scholarship applications from students who are entering the second and third years are considered to the extent that funds are available after scholarship renewals are completed.
