Incoming students are classified into one of several tuition rates when entering Cincinnati Law — Ohio resident, non-resident and Northern Kentucky Graduate Metro. The figures below show exact numbers for tuition and fees in the 2012-2013 academic year, plus an estimated figure for reasonable living expenses for law students. Students may receive financial aid (scholarships, loans, work-study, etc.) up to the Total Cost of Education figure at the bottom.

* Residents of selected counties in Indiana can qualify for Ohio resident tuition through the university’s Indiana Reciprocity program.
** The Graduate Metropolitan Rate is available to students residing in the following northern Kentucky counties: Bath, Boone, Bourbon, Boyd, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Carter, Fleming, Franklin, Gallatin, Grant, Greenup, Harrison, Henry, Jefferson, Kenton, Lewis, Mason, Nicholas, Oldham, Owen, Pendleton, Robertson, Rowan, Scott, Shelby and Trimble. Eligible residents in these counties qualify for the metropolitan rate which is resident tuition and fees plus $180 per semester.
*** Residency rules permit independent, self‐sustaining non‐residents to reclassify as state residents after one year of domicile.

The university provides the following estimate of living expenses for law students. Due to the relative low cost of living in the Cincinnati metropolitan area, history has shown most of our students are able to live well far below the total allotment figure shown below.
