Whitman Fellowship Information & Networking Event

November 21, 2016 4:30pm
Atrium

Please join Bruce B. and Ginny Conlan Whitman to learn more about the Whitman Fellowship and how firms and law students can benefit. You'll have the opportunity to network with staff, local firms, and other students.

About the Fellowship:

Through the generous support of Bruce B. & Ginny Conlan Whitman, the Whitman Fellowship provides a Cincinnati Law student with a $5,000 stipend to work for an employer that specializes in representing individual plaintiffs and their families in personal rights litigation, tort and employment law, such as those injured by the negligence of another or wrongfully terminated from employment.  The goal of the Fellowship is to provide support to a local practice while offering unprecedented experience and exposure for a student.

Whitman Fellowship Employer Host:
The Whitman Fellowship is looking to partner with an attorney or law firm that specializes in representing individuals and their families in personal rights litigation, tort and employment law, and that has a need  for a law clerk this summer.  The law clerk is paid via the Whitman Fellowship.  However, the attorney or law firm is expected to provide the recipient with adequate work space, supervision, and mentoring over the fellowship term.

The networking event is an opportunity for potential employers and law students to meet and interact. The fellowship recipient will be chosen from the attendees.
