Lacey Brewster '16
Prior to attending UC Law Ms. Brewster obtained a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. As an undergraduate she chose to study psychology in order to provide a foundation for the practice of law and to develop her ability to understand the needs of her future clients. Of the many aspects contributing to her decision to attend UC Law the Weaver Institute was one of the primary factors that drew this Nanook out of the Artic. Ms. Brewster has long had a passion for both serving the underserved and criminal law. Upon graduation she hopes to practice law as a Public Defender. As many in the indigent population struggle with mental health issues she sees the Weaver Fellowship as a stepping stone in becoming a strong advocate for those she hopes to one day represent.
