Alumna Tiffany Reece Named ProKids' 2012 Volunteer of the Year

Tiffany ReeceCINCINNATI (December 10, 2012) – Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to announce that ProKids has named Tiffany Reece Clark the 2012 Leslie R. Jaffee Volunteer of the Year. Since 2006, Clark has advocated on behalf of eleven children as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for ProKids, and helped launch the ProKids Young Professionals (PKYP) group in the summer of 2011.

Ms. Clark has been recognized because she is involved in nearly every aspect of the ProKids organization. As an ambassador of ProKids’ mission, an advocate on behalf of the children the agency serves, and a leader for young professionals, she exudes passion and dedication for ProKids. Her grace and compassion have helped to mobilize the Greater Cincinnati community to do more for children in Hamilton County who are still waiting for abuse and neglect to stop.

ProKids works closely with government and other social service agencies to make sure foster children are safe, that their needs are met and that each child can have a safe, permanent and nurturing home as quickly as possible. For 31 years, ProKids has served Hamilton County as one of more than 1,000 CASA volunteer programs nationwide. Each CASA volunteer receives training from ProKids before being paired with a child who needs an advocate in the court system.

Executive Director of ProKids, Tracy Cook states, “Tiffany’s energy and desire to help - combined with her openness to all sorts of people, new information, ideas, and ways to further ProKids’ reach – make her a powerful advocate for our children. Her ability to accept people for who they are, remain positive in turmoil, mediate difficult relationships, and act with empathy is what makes her an excellent ProKids CASA volunteer. She is tireless in her advocacy, clear-minded and savvy in her thinking, and objective in her investigating.”

Scott P. Kadish, partner-in-charge of Ulmer & Berne’s Cincinnati office commented, “We are very proud of Tiffany’s involvement with ProKids. Her energy and involvement are a positive reflection of the ethos that Ulmer & Berne brings to the Cincinnati community – to share its resources and voice with those who can’t.”

As a dedicated leader of PKYP, Ms. Clark is described by Beth Mandel, law clerk for Judge Susan Dlott, chief judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and fellow PKYP board member as, “an indispensable member of PKYP.” Ms. Mandel said, “Tiffany has poured her efforts into introducing ProKids to hundreds of up-and-coming young professionals who we hope will become long-term supporters. Despite her already packed schedule, she is always willing to lend a hand at PKYP’s awareness-raising events and volunteer gatherings. She is truly one of ProKids’ most dedicated and valuable advocates.”

Tiffany has a B.A. from Wake Forest University and J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. She concentrates her practice on product liability defense, drug and medical device defense and environmental litigation.
