Trial Practice Team Success Ranks UC in Top 10
Congratulations to Alex Rodger ’12, Allison Kendall ’12, and Emily Homel ‘13. The team successfully competed in the 38th Annual National Trial Competition.
Over 350 teams from law schools throughout the country begin the National Trial Competition process in late February; only 28 are invited to the NTC final rounds in Austin, Texas. Through the course of seven trials, the UC team went 6 – 1 with 4 of the 6 wins coming on perfect 3-0 ballots from all the judges. The success at the National Trial Competition ranked UC in the top 10 in the country!
The program will be conducting auditions for selection to next year’s Trial Practice team for interested 2Ls and 3Ls the first week of April. We anticipate attracting even more requests from invitational tournaments in the Fall and that the program will once again send teams to the two national competitions in Spring 2013.
Thanks to the team's coach, Dan Donnellon, and to the Trial Practice Course professors, Dan Donnellon and Sheila Smith.
