ITIE Fee Revenue Summary Report - 2005-2006 Academic Year

Several years ago, UC implemented a University-wide Information Technology and Instructional Equipment (ITIE) fee for the purpose of supporting student access to information technology and instructional equipment, supplies, and services. Since then, the fee has funded many improvements in the learning environment at the College of Law. It also has enabled us to maintain a consistently high level of student computing services.

During the 2005-2006 academic year, the College allocated ITIE funds to directly benefit students as follows:

  • Purchased (35 total) new computers for the two computer labs;
  • Provided support for students taking final exams on laptop computers, including supplemental electrical equipment and supplies and USB flash drives for exam submission;
  • Installed additional wireless access to classrooms, library study areas, and student social spaces, and maintained wireless data jacks throughout the building;
  • Purchased software licenses (Norton antispyware, WordPerfect 12, and Adobe Standard v. 7) for machines in student computer labs and other student computing areas;
  • Provided computer lab assistant support for evenings and weekends to troubleshoot students' computer hardware and software problems, assist with wireless laptop setups and use of application software, and maintain computer lab printers; and;
  • Subsidized student network printing and supplied paper, toner and other necessities for student printing.
