First-year students who wish to apply for a fellowship should submit the following:

• an application distributed by the Institute director
• a transcript
• a resume
• a writing sample
• a statement of personal interest explaining why they wish to be considered for a Weaver fellowship

After reviewing these materials, the Institute director will select a few applicants for an in-person interview, and successful applicants are chosen from these interviewees. The deadline for application is late March of each academic year, and fellowship selection is completed by mid-April.
