Arthur Russell Morgan Fellows & Human Rights Quarterly Staff 1979-2013
I greatly value the experiences that I had as an Arthur Russell Morgan Fellow. I attended a number of gatherings, both large and small, formal and informal, where I met and talked with attorneys and human rights activists from all corners of the globe. Working as an editor for Human Rights Quarterly, I refined my research, writing, and editing skills—which helped me in law school and now helps me in my legal practice. Finally, although I chose not to take advantage of the Urban Morgan Institute’s opportunities to work abroad, I found a tremendously edifying job my first summer of law school working for a small, but well-respected, civil rights firm, Gerhardstein & Branch.
