The University of Cincinnati College of Law (“UC Law”) Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (“VITA”) program requires all volunteers to undergo training and certification through the Internal Revenue Service. This training teaches volunteers how to prepare and review tax return filings. However, this training does not address the full breadth of the tax system and UC Law VITA gives no warranty, expressed or implied, to the accuracy, reliability, relevance, or completeness of information or service provided. Each person using the services of UC Law VITA remains individually responsible for the accuracy of the information on their own tax return. Each person filing a tax return affirms that responsibility upon signing their tax return under penalties of perjury that their return is, to the best of their knowledge and belief, true, correct and complete, regardless of whether they have utilized assistance with the tax return’s preparation.
