Advocates for Children

Advocates for Children seeks to promote child advocacy in the legal community through service projects for at-risk children and career-building activities for students interested in juvenile law practice, including child welfare law, family law, and juvenile justice. Our workshops and discussion panels connect students to summer jobs, intern/extern programs for course credit, and funding for juvenile law positions both before and after graduation. Our service projects expose law students to the real-life challenges of children facing poverty, racial discrimination, and underfunded education, as well as building relationships between UC Law and the local community. Whether a student chooses to practice in juvenile law or another field, Advocates for Children is for everyone who cares about children.
