Howard Long

I am a 3rd year student here at the UC College of Law. I was born and raised in Wheeling, West Virginia. Upon Graduating high school, I attended the Ohio State University where I received a degree in finance. I always knew I wanted to go to law school, so right after graduating from Ohio State I attended the West Virginia University College of Law. I wanted to go to UC all along, however, my LSAT score probably did not enable me to get in. So I did really well my first year at WVU and then transferred to UC. Since I have been at UC my experience has be great. The faculty here at UC has been tremendous. They are very knowledgeable and will help you out whenever you ask. Additionally, the students here at UC have been great as well. They were very welcoming to me as a transfer student and are the reason my experience at UC has been so enjoyable.

I have seen some academic success at both WVU and UC. I attribute that success to hard work and truly believe that anyone can succeed in law school if they study and work smart, not necessarily the most. I look forward to working as a Structured Study Group Leader and hope that I will be able to help first year students succeed in the study of the law.
