GilliganDistinguished Alumnus Lou Gilligan ’68 hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  He attended the University of Scranton, a Jesuit college in upstate Pennsylvania, where he majored in business management.  After finishing his undergraduate studies, Gilligan debated between getting an MBA or law degree, or entering the workforce right away.  (Read more)

IngotTransitioning From Product Development to Legal Writing...Meet Michele Bradley '93

Photo 6Professor Michele Bradley ‘93 not only teaches at the College of Law, she is an alum.  Originally from Canada, Bradley grew up in a suburb of Detroit, MI. She became a naturalized citizen when she was 17 years old, going on to attend Wayne State University for a degree in chemical engineering.  She moved to Cincinnati for work, starting in product development at Procter & Gamble, focusing on creating a new form of Pampers diapers. GormanJudge Robert H. Gorman ’60 has lived in Cincinnati his whole life, leaving on to attend Brown University for his undergraduate studies and the US Air Force.  A classics major at Brown, he had the opportunity to accept a fellowship for an archeological dig following graduation.  (Read more)

Zak FithianIt is safe to say that third-year student Zak Fithian has acquired a great deal of knowledge about the law, since his first classes at the College of Law in August 2008. IngotBettman, Lenhart, and Williams Receive 2011 Goldman Prize for Excellence in Teaching

Most professors strive to both challenge and engage students daily.  Even more, professors hope to be dedicated and respectful while commanding some respect of their own.  This year’s Goldman Prize awardees demonstrate that professors can embody all of these traits and more.  Each year, College of Law students have the opportunity to honor those professors who distinguish themselves in the classroom and who demonstrate excellence in teaching. This year the Goldman Prize Committee recognizes Professors Marianna Brown Bettman, Elizabeth Lenhart, and Verna Williams. (Read more)
