CINCINNATI—Faruki Ireland & Cox P.L.L. (www.ficlaw.com) is proud to announce that Stephen Weigand is now on the Executive Board of the Professional Leadership Network (PLN) and will serve as Co-Chair of their Development Committee. Weigand has helped organize the PLN’s first ever Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Dodgeball Tournament Challenge.
The Dodgeball Tournament Challenge took place on Saturday, June 11 on Fountain Square from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Proceeds from the event helped send more than 400 underprivileged youth to camp this summer. Faruki Ireland & Cox P.L.L. was one of the major sponsors of the event and had a team for the tournament.
The Professional Leadership Network, an organization affiliated with Dan Beard Council, Boy Scouts of America, focuses on connecting professionals who are active leaders in their community with the youth involved in Dan Beard Council.
Weigand received his law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law where he was the Publications Editor of the University of Cincinnati Law Review. While in law school, Weigand worked at a Cincinnati law firm on several high-profile cases involving securities fraud class actions and corporate governance. He also served as a judicial extern for Chief Justice Thomas Moyer of the Supreme Court of Ohio. Weigand is a member of the Ohio and Cincinnati Bar Associations, as well as the Potter Stewart Inn of Court.
