1. Professor Victor Fleisher, University of Illinois School of Law, will speak informally about his role in the ongoing Congressional debate on private equity at 8:00 a.m. on November 2 in Room 100B.  A continental breakfast will be served, and the meeting will conclude in time for 9:00 a.m. classes.  Professor Fleisher was recently featured in a recent New York Times article.

2. James Johnson, the Chief Legal Officer at Procter & Gamble Co., will be the keynote speaker at Setting the Tone: The Role of Corporate Counsel in Fostering an Ethical Corporate Environment, on November 15 from 4:30–7:00 p.m. in Room 114.  Other speakers include inhouse counsel at LexisNexis, Teradata Corp., and Chiquita Brands International.  Refreshments will be served.  (Additional information is available at the CLC website.)
